BIM Coordinator

BIM Coordinator reporting to the BIM Section Head. Supports BIM delivery across multidisciplinary teams, coordinating workflows, standards and technical information. Hybrid role based in Dublin or Cork (2 office/site days minimum per week).

Key requirements:
Tactical:

• Coordinate BIM and technology-related activities on projects.
• Develop the project-specific BIM Execution Plan & BIM strategies for projects with support from BIM Section Head.
• Provide BIM production support to project teams, including:

• Project model setup and configuration. 
• File exchange, export automation processes & management of BIM deliverables. 
• Implementation of BIM best practices.
• Administer and support Autodesk Forma and other BIM collaboration platforms.
• Act as the project BIM Lead implementing best practice, standards and guidance developed within The Company.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams, design teams, and clients regarding project-specific BIM requirements.
• Manage the model federation process and maintain coordinated project model files.
• Run quality audits regularly on authoring models & content.
• Review and coordinate design models, trade contractor models, shop drawings, and reality capture data. 
• Adapt design models to support construction and delivery requirements where necessary.
• Ensure all models comply with internal standards and client-specific requirements defined within the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Manage the clash detection process across project teams.
• Support the development and enhancement of our ways of working.

Software Knowledge and Capabilities:

• Strong working knowledge and proficiency with the following BIM authoring platforms for facility design and construction (Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Autodesk Plant3D, Autodesk AutoCAD or Equivalent software’s). 
• Strong knowledge in collaboration and data management solutions like Autodesk Forma, Revizto, Navisworks. 
• Design and engineering automation tools like Dynamo are desirable but not essential. 
• Awareness/ knowledge/ experience in BIM usage in the building life cycle 
• Experience in BIM model management, workflows in project delivery 
• Experience providing BIM leadership and technical support to a large project team 
• Experience writing BIM Execution Plans to support large projects 
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years BIM experience leveraging and managing technology in facility design and construction required 
• Industry BIM Certification is preferred 
• Experience of Autodesk Forma administration duties an advantage 
• Ability to motivate established professionals, external partners, and direct reports 
• Effective leader: articulate, diplomatic, ethical, and dedicated 
• Experience with, and passionate about BIM, IPD, Digital Delivery, Lean, Collaboration
