We’re proud to be supporting the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project and are looking for talented civil engineering and pipeline specialists.
The Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project is one of the UK’s most advanced carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems. CO₂ emissions from heavy industries will be captured and transported via pipelines to secure underwater storage sites, helping to significantly reduce the region’s carbon footprint.
It’s the backbone of the region’s HyNet project and involves constructing approximately 35km of new pipeline and repurposing 24km of existing infrastructure. This network will connect major industrial infrastructure in the region with depleted gas reservoirs beneath Liverpool Bay, where the captured carbon will be permanently stored. The project marks a significant step towards regional decarbonisation and the UK’s net zero goals.
What is HyNet?
HyNet is one of the UK’s leading industrial decarbonisation clusters, which aims to unlock a low carbon future in the north west of England and north Wales by tackling carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from industry and supporting economic growth in the region.
NRL are proud to be working with United Living to draw on our extensive expertise in pipeline development to recruit a range of contracting roles. Depending on the construction stage, this could include civil engineering and groundworks, as well as specialist roles.
We’re interested in hearing from people with the following skills:
Banksman, Civils Foreman, Front End Foreman, Ganger, General Operative, Ground Worker, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Foreman, Mechanical Supervisor, Painter/Coater, Painting/Coating Supervisor, Pipe Bending Foreman, Pipefitter, Plant Operator, SCO/Foreman, Sideboom Operator, Skilled Operative, Spacer, Stoving Welder, Welder, Welders/Fitters Mate.
If you’d like to be considered for work on the Liverpool Bay CCS or wider HyNet project then you can search for our latest roles below, or share your details with the team.
