Control Room Operator – Wind

Location & Project Context: North West Saudi Arabia – Vision 2030 Renewable Energy Project
Purpose: Monitor and control wind farm operations using SCADA to maximise energy yield and ensure safe, compliant plant performance.

 
Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wind turbines, transformers and switchgear via SCADA.
• Track generation and performance curves; analyse real-time and historical data.
• Identify and respond to alarms, system abnormalities and grid events.
• Maintain control room logs and manage shift handovers.
• Coordinate LOTO and support safe maintenance isolation.
• Work closely with field teams; uphold HSE standards and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years’ wind plant control room experience.
• Proficiency with SCADA/DCS/PLC and electrical protection basics.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Working pattern: 5 days/week; rotational working may be required.
