Control Room Operator – PV

Location & Project Context: North West Saudi Arabia – Vision 2030 Renewable Energy Project
Purpose: Monitor and control solar PV plant operations using SCADA to ensure optimal performance, grid-code compliance and safety.

 
Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor PV equipment (inverters, transformers, switchgear) via SCADA.
• Track generation, availability and performance ratio; investigate underperformance.
• Recognise alarms/events and execute approved corrective actions.
• Maintain shift logs and deliver clear handovers.
• Coordinate Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) for maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with field technicians and support HSE compliance and environmental monitoring.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years’ control room operations experience in utility-scale solar.
• Hands-on knowledge of SCADA/DCS/PLC systems and electrical safety.
• Strong fault diagnosis, communication and documentation skills.

Working pattern: 5 days/week; rotational working may be required.
